I got two helicopters, One I can fly indoors. The other I can fly
everywhere outside except the back yard. Lucky has a problem with me
playing with her doberman and rotweiler, so she banned me from the
back yard. Frankly, I thought they were having as much fun as I was,
running from one bush to another.

WELLLL,, Lucky don't have a problem anymore... its been 2 days since
christmas,,, and the outdoor Helicopter,,, is guess what trashed,,,
And the indoor one has a piece of tape for the back door trim.
AND I have learned a good lesson about its easier to fly real aircraft
than it is to fly remote control. |

...... and easier to fly sober than not.....? (grin) Heerd planes are
easier than choppers, too. Old Melvin (Skydive N. GA.) used to have a
hell of a time, trying to get his chopper up and around obstacles, too- |

I agree,,, Jeb Stuart, was one of the damn Best.
Frankly, the south had the skill and ability, led by the best of West
Point. However, they lost the war of "supply" from the industralized
North. The south, could have went Gurella and won that war, but Lee
decided against that. He made the right decision. When you take
everything into account.
If we would not have had the north, building us back up,,,, We would
be not much better than Mexico today. Its a good thing we are a
country of ONE. Thank gawd for Mexico. |

The assassination of Lincoln really set the reconstruction back.....he
was a great man & would have delt with the south in a fairer manner,

Yeah,,, Booth was part of the insurgency movement to carry on the
war. The country got lucky, in that his groups plans were foiled.
Thank gawd.
Because of Lincolns unfortunate demise,,, we got Pres Johnson (a
southerner) rulled by a pissed off bunch of Northern politicians that
were not part of war. Greed was their relegion. The people that took
part in war on both sides,, were devastated by what they had
witnessed.. The people "hurt" really bad. The northern people (that
experienced war) turned their heads after the war, at what the
politicans did. In all fairness,, they hurt just as badly as the
southerners did. UNFORTUNATELY,,, They (northern politicans) beat
us up pretty bad for about 40 years. War attrocities, from both
sides, made people feel pretty bad. People were in terrible pain.
My thesis, is that during these 40 years, We were still a divided
country. Chuckles, it took 15 years to put the only political arm of
the south (KKK) down. Special note,,, In the beginning, the KKK was
not intended to be a racist organization, but a political organization
against Northern Radical Republicans. Scalawgs and Carpet baggers had
invaded and were stealing land for tax dollars-- backed by northern
opportunist. As time went on, racism became a part of the picture.
Blacks were unfortunately played , or should I say "preyed" on by both
sides.
We did not start thinking again as ONE , Until the north needed a
southerner to stir up some war sentiment against Cuba. Joe Wheeler
(an old man by this time) Was the only general of the old south to
step up to the plate. Good or bad, you make the call, He stirred
up the south in 1898 for the Cuban Police action-- Which in effect
began the healing process for "AMERICA". We were united again.
Not to say that without getting my personal preference in. JOE
WHEELER IS NOT MY FAVORITE PERSON IN SOUTHERN HISTORY. pss,,, not to
piss off his family ,,, I have to live with them down here. |

Funny how history repeats itself----Greed is again in vogue, not that
it ever went out.....Like the Black Plague it remained in small
pockets only to spring forth again....Look around----ASC, Sky ride,
the Executive Committee, little underachieving rat finks like Jerry K
around DZ's with a gimmick, won't pay for their jumps, won't get a JM
or Instructor endorsements, drink up all the damn beer drive up
inflation tsk tsk tsk ~a reflection on our Country~

Joe's kids did good, specially his girl and that one son who was a
Midshipman.
She gave her life to the sick, he lost his life trying to help a
shipmate! |

I can respect that.

I will not argue that. He was an up and coming business man with a
lot of southern pull, and the South needed him in an up and coming
war.
a

now THAT,,, is your opinon. I higly respect it.
he also came up with the KKK after the war....I'd say slavery

Yeah,,, he ,, I believe, after all these years was the big honcho
draggon of the KKK -- or what ever they call him these days.
BUT--- AT THAT time,,, the issue was 7 years, of leaving the south
outside of the politics of the yankee nation. FACE IT,,, the north,
fought a 4 year war to get us back in the union, ONLY, to not let us
back in for 7 more years. AT the same time the yankees were running
through the south with scalawags and carpet baggers picking up cheap
land for "tax dollar owed" ,,Ran them DOWN OUR THROATS. What
political arm did we have at the local level? ?? The only people who
could run for office were "Unionist" and blacks. Was it "race
based" ,,, or simply,,, gawd damn, We need a VOTE since yall yankees
kicked our asses. and now you won't let us back in the Union.. ?

OKAY,,, lets throw down-- Is ther anyone (BLACK OR WHITE) here who
has had a cross burned in his front yard TWICE ????
IF sooo,,, hehehehe,,, we need to have a few shots of tequila or
twelve.
