I am a Canadian resident from Quebec. I just purchased a boat in the US and
it is being stored this winter in Harve de |Grace Maryland. I have tried to
get insurance but all the Canadian companies will not insure below the 40th
parallel. I will bring the boat in the spring to Lake Champlain. My problem
is getting insurance for the winter and the trip back. Can anyone give me
advice as to where to go?

Boat/US offers insurance and other services at http://boatus.com (get
our membership # as a referral if you join) You get a magazine and
free towing insurance with a membership but get more than the basic -
towing is very expensive in that part of the world. (Guess how I
know?) Our normal insurer extended us to Florida/Bahamas some years
ago because we had been with our company for a long time without claim
- just lucky.
