Is the SuperJet restricted, too? I don't see anything on the Yamaha site.

Probably due to emission reasons.

Because of emissions, it's a 2-stroke and so no longer allowed to be sold.
Go buy a used one. I wonder if someone will come out with a 4-stroke
version. I know that's a challenge for a Stand-Up. I knew about
California, but not NY also. It's really stupid.

Local fuzz was out a few weeks ago stopping all the skis for safety checks.
Didn't stop me on my 1998 Sxi Pro Kawi (standup), but did ask me what year
it was...not sure if he was just curious or it was something with
emissions.

Think I could buy a new one in neighboring state or think I might get
stopped when I tried to register it?

So far they're not outright BANNING ALL 2-Stoke Jetski's, or I'd be in
trouble with my sitdown ski. I hope they can somehow get a 4-stroke Stand
Up figured out. Just not as easy and a Sit down.

I have No Idea. You'll be able to Register a old one you buy, but NEW? My
guess off hand would be NO. Because you still have to follow State
Emissions for the year of the Ski. Since a 2-Stroke doesn't, it's out of
luck which is why they aren't being sold. Doesn't matter in State or out of
State. Now If you knew someone out of the state you could have it
registered to, but use it In state, that may be different. I'd ask the
dealer and see what they know. They deal with the DMV all the time.
