Put it in your oven when the misses isn't looking and heat to 400.
Put it upside down with bricks under it but not directly under the
sleeves...(the idea is for the bricks to keep it up to allow the sleeves
to drop out). Go grab yourself a cold one, turn on the tube and wait
to hear them drop.

Personally, I freeze the sleeve and heat the jug. The sleeve will shrink slightly
and allow you more time (maybe only a few seconds more) to align the ports
before the jug shrinks and holds the sleeve. Make sure to use gloves.

i just had my 650 done this week. the guy at the shop said he had to
cut the old sleeves out. It didn't make sense to me, anyways the
new sleeves are in and the ports aligned. The guy did a awesome job.
Next week I should have the standup on the water for the 1st time this
summer. good timing too. The weather finally broke (in a big way).
ps. i'm from buffalo, ny

Kawasaki cylinders have the sleeves cast in. They have to be bored
out then setup to insert sleeves.

ahh. makes sense then.
i'm impressed by the way the engine came out. He's gonna put the
rest of the engine back together, leak test it and due a compression
test. He's gonna set the compression so I can use regular pump gas.
Once the top is installed he's gonna time the engine for me, I'm going
from a total loss system back to stock, i need the charging system. I
fall off too much and it gives me less ride time. Plus, I always
have to have someone out with me to tow me back in when the engine
dies. I guess the total loss igniton isn't good for a rec. rider.
whats the best way to repair
