1998 Kawasaki 750 XI won't start - Any ideas?

Hey everybody,

I have a 1998 Kawasaki 750 XI Sport that's been sitting outside in
South Florida for about two years now without being used or even
started. Worked fine before it sat, fresh water use only. The other
day my brother-in-law and I tried to resurrect the thing but to no big
surprise, it wouldn't start.

First of all, I'm not a mechanic. New gas, new oil, new plugs, new
battery, fully charged. The starter mechanism seems to work, but the
engine won't turn over and the shaft won't turn. I know it's a long
shot at this point, but was wondering if anybody had some ideas to get
it started.
