I have a 1996 SeaDoo GSX that has an annoying problem that no one can
seem to fix. While running, the engine suddenly and without any warning
cuts off; pushing the start button does nothing, as the starter won't
engage or even attempt to engage. The only way to get it going is to
remove the vest lanyard plug and reseat it until the starter engages.
Re-encoding the plug by the dealer hasn't helped the problem. How do I
fix it?
