Never heard of someone putting a 1200 into a regular Blaster but it has
been done numerous times with a Blater II. Really depends upon what the
buyer is willing to pay and the seller willing to accept. A nice
Blaster II in excellent condition is worth around $2500 so figure
fifteen hundred over that (?). There is not a real big market for WB
II's so there won't be a lot of people who even understand the
conversion. Also, there is an assumption that the conversion has been
done professionally versus cobbled together so that it's going to come
apart.

NOOO!!!!!
You can't do that! Just because the wife is preggo, doesn't mean you have to
sell your toys! Especially the good ones. At least, just narrow it down to
one SuperJet and one Blaster (I'd say B1). That's the program I'm trying to
achieve after I can get rid of a few more boats. Besides, your B2 is only
good for about 60 mph (as seen in PWI!). Maybe you could keep the Venture as
well - it's a good chase vehicle when we're in Mexico. And it's easy to tow
with a SuperJet.

By the way, my trip to Parker with my Blaster 1200 (B1) and SuperJet was
foiled on Friday by my motorhome giving me difficulties.
Just had a bunch of work done to it, but this is what happened:
1) As I was leaving, I found one of the rear hubs had a loose bearing and
they forgot to tighten the lugs there. A relatively quick one-hour fix.
2) Starter goes on and stuck on while on the freeway (shorted wires) in
Corona. Fried starter. Get new starter, replace on side of road, and got
going several hours later. (FYI, it's hard to find starters for '73 GMC
motorhomes with Olds 455 FWD engines)
3) Lost tread on a rear tire near Cabazon
4) Flat spare (It was just replaced a couple months ago!)

I gave up and just went home. I just wasn't meant to go. It took me 12 hours
to make it to Cabazon and back home in Orange County. Not a good day.

I hope San Felipe Bob/Tiller Construction's floating party barge/ramp jump
goes well. Damn, I wanted to be there for that! Remember the ramp we had a
few years ago at Scott's bachelor party?

4K for a blaster 3? (blaster 2 w/1200) hell, I would rather street
whore myself than hock mine for that. dude, hold on to that boat, it's
an original, and while not the fastest boat out there, it's always the
one I have to arbitrate seat time on.

...Lee, how the heck are ya

WELL I WAS THINKING ABOUT THIS BEFORE THE WIFE GOT PREGO

I'M THE ONLY ONE THAT RIDES MY SON IS 9 SO I GOT TO KEEP THE VENTURE
AND ONE OF THE SUPERJETS. I WAS THINKING OF LETING GO OF MAYBE THE
BLASTER 2 AND KEEPING THE BLASTER CUZ THAT'S GOT THE TOTAL LOSS MOTOR
IN IT PLUS THE HULL MOD

I ACTUALLY THINKING OF GIVING UP THE B2 1200 AND SUPERJET SO THAT I
COULD GET AN LS200 OR SIMILAR JET BOAT -FAMILY STYLE

ANY COMMENTS?

Where are you located and what kind of price on the Blaster II 1200?
I've got a stock 96 but have ridden a triple and desperately want one.
If you decide to sell it, I'd be interested.

As for the jetboats, my personal opinion is that they are a terrible
compromise. For equal or less money, you can buy a regular sterndrive
boat. I was a Yamaha dealer and frankly, didn't think much of the
LS2000 because of maintenance issues and gas consumption (HUGE!). If
you must have a jetboat, consider one with the mercury V6 powerhead in
it - more efficient and reliable. I know a lot of the jetboats sold
around here (Lake Anna, Virginia) are now up for sale and people are
taking a bath on the resale. There is a Sugar Sand Tango w/ the V6 that
the guy was ready to take 7K for about three weeks ago. It didn't have
100 hours on it he just got tired of getting beat to death because of
the hull design and low freeboard on most jetboats.
