We are trying to solve a starting problem with a 2000 RX-DI. It starts
fine when cold and runs well. But if it is turned off it refuses to
start until it has sat for about 30 minutes (to cool down?). Then it
starts up fine again.
I am guessing that it is a temperature sensor or computer module
problem. Two different Sea-Doo shops have failed to solve the problem
although they spent a lot of money trying. The third Sea-Doo shop just
said they have no idea and want us to bring it in for more testing.
The RX-DI is kept at Lake Powell and there are no mechanics nearby.
Does any knowledgeable Sea-Doo mechanic out there have any ideas we
might try at Powell without hauling it back to civilization?
