Okay gang,
If you missed the big Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon last month, then
here's your chance to give it another try - you won't soon forget just
how much fun this type of event is - plus it shows the positive side
of our sport!
Sunday, July 6th, we'll launch from Treasure Island in the middle of
San Francisco Bay, and meet up with the transport ferry containing
400+ swimmers for the first leg of this triathlon. We'll offer rescue
support by towing (not going in after) the swimmers to the medical
boats who are unable to complete the swim. Should take us 1.5 hours
tops. Then we're free to use our special use permit anywhere in the
bay for the day!
Compensation is $50.00 per ski, and because this is not an OEM
sponsored event, any brand of STOCK watercraft is allowed to
participate - we prefer 3-4 seaters, but since this is a smaller
triathlon, 2 seaters are also welcome. Many of you are stand-up
enthusiasts - but that doesn't mean you can't borrow a ski and come
out - this is really a lot of fun! We need to be on site at Treasure
Island by 7:00 a.m., and launched and ready to roll by 7:40 a.m.
Please let me know if you can participate in this event by contacting
me at
Priceconsulting@Yahoo.Com. And if you can't be there yourself,
but know someone who can, please pass this message on to them.
Ride Safe!
