In Germany they call them a wels. Most of the pictures of big fish seem to
come from Italy or Spain. I think wels would solve the carp problem in Lake
Mead, also the tilapia problem and maybe thin the stripers out.

Maybe so, but you'll probably also get rid of the Razorback Suckers, which
are an endangered species, in the reservoir.

It depends on what kind and how much food and so on. Maybe 4 or 5 feet long
90 95 lbs. ; that lake is deep.

The largest cat caught in Nevada (includes Lake Mead) is a 31 lbs 1 oz
channel caught at Lahontan Res. which I happened to see when I was working
as a seasonal ranger back in 1980. As far as I know nothing that big has
been caught in Lake Mead. I've caught a couple of 28 lb channels in traps
in Nevada, one in Pyramid Lake, another in a small reservoir outside of
Fallon.

I doubt they would survive here.

That is still a large fish. And doses not mean that there are not larger
fish in Lake Mead. Which is a large lake?

Have no idea how adaptable this cat fish is. And Lake Mead has many zones
that might be acceptable for this type of cat fish.
