Hi,
I am planning a 4 day fishing trip next week and plan to try Premo
blood flavored dip bait and Big Bite Extreme liver and cheese flavored
dip bait. Has anybody here had any luck with these?

Thanks, Roger

I'm not familiar with the brands you mention, but I know a lot of
people who use dip baits with reasonable success and somewhat less
success with cheese baits.

Don't know what kind of catfish you are after, when you fish, or
where you fish, and that makes a big difference.

I generally fish rivers and use live bream (perch) for bait on limb
lines, fishing mostly for big flatheads which we call "yellow cats".
Occasionally catch a good sized Blue and / or channel, but mostly
yellow cats. They range from 18 to 30 inches and weigh from 7 to 40
pounds. I always put my lines out in late afternoon and run them
early- light the next day.

If you are fishing for small channels, I'd say maybe that stuff is
okay, but I certainly can't vouch for it.

Will Catfish grab bait off the bottom? I'm pretty new to catfishing and was wondering, If my bait happens to be resting on the lake bottom, will catfish pick it up? or does it need to be suspended in the water for the best effect?
