I have an XL1200. I took the ski out for the 1st time this season today. It
was stored indoors, engine fogged and battery disconnected. The ski started
right up, but when I took it out it started to stall when I gace it gas. I
could run it at low RPM, and it would run. When I gunned it, it would
stall... then evetually it took off. After about 1 mile it started to stall
at high RPM and then I kept restarting and moving a little.. then stall
again. Finally it just wouldn't start and the battery went dead. FYI, It is
a 2 stroke with Carbs. I bought a new battery and changed the plugs, I'm
changing the fuel filter in the morning. I haven't had the chance to start
it yet because the new battery needed to be charged.
Any ideas would be beneficial.
