Hello, my name is Ray Hinton and I live in San Diego, CA.
While watching the horrific reports on Navy Medical Centers on TV
lately, I decided to get off my butt and do something.
The common theme in the reports I saw were BOREDOM.
I *think* I/we can reduce some of this boredom, and in the process let
these Heroes know the are SPECIAL and appreciated by the people they
fought for.
I own 4 PWC, I have friends with @ 20 more, and I am activly
recruiting more riders & ski's to help me put a smile on some "Wounded
Heroes" that are 5 miles from my house.
I have contacted Naval Medical Center San Diego with my idea, and am a
waiting word back from the Director.
My plan is to put a sign-up sheet in the Center's YMCA and pick it up
on Friday nights.
Then I show up Sat. or Sun. morning with LOTS of ski's & riders in
their parking lot.
We will take them out on San Diego Bay for a couple hour cruise, take
them to dinner, then return them to the Medical Center with a SMILE.
Anyone in the So. Cal. area that would like to help-out or has ideas,
please contact me via email.
I have Scott Frazier of the IJSBA helping me also.

Thanks & THANKS to all Veterans !!!!!

Ray Hinton

Hey that's cool.....on behalf of pwc'ers let me say, sorry about the
fact that no one has responded here, this usenet group is no longer a
primary gathering place for jetskiers, if you also put up an
announcement about this over at pwctoday.com, I bet you'll get lots of
thanks and acknowledgement and probably some participation and help
too from some of the board members near you over there on the west
coast. It sounds like a great idea and a lot of fun to boot.
