One could make the case that even if they do post, there
isn't "anything" in this group at all.

I do wonder how often "newbies" wander in here, review the
recent history of babble, and decide there's no point in asking their
question.

I'm not unaware of the general trends in USENET. It is merely
that they have been, for what ever reason, more pronounce in
rec.skydiving.

They should be asking their questions at the DZ anyway.

I have given Kevins problem some thought, just as I do to any problem
bought to the user net. These two are from the same area and have
jumped together in the past, he could have just as well e-mailed the
pair their open friendship annoyed him----No fun in that though! I
could just as well trade insults with my young fan club via e-mail----
no fun in that though. You could just as well have e-mailed me your
opinion------->no fun in that though.....Am I the only interlectual on
here? Or are the rest of you just iggnorant in that special skydiver
way? 0~WinkP

That has been the case for some time.

I expect that very few wander in here at all. Google "skydiving" (which
is what a newbie is likely to do), and there is no reference to this
group. (At least nothing I could find.)

Only because it's "your" group. There are a lot of groups like this one,
including one I used to participate in that I thought would /never/ go
down the tubes.

Well, I make no claim that rec.skydiving is the only one with this
pronounce characteristic, merely that it is one of them. I'm in
a fair number of groups, golf, politics, travel, a couple of engineer/
nerd
related ones. The overall trend is unmistakable. But a few
have gone stellarly into the pits.
