Does anyone know what a pilot screw is and what it is used for on a
1987 kawasaki jetski. the model is a JS 550 with a 44 mm mikuni type
III carb.

On some older versions of the 44mm RB Mikuni carbs there were 3
adjusters. HS, LS, and Pilot. They were a pain sometimes to get to
tune properly. Most carbs only have the HS and LS adjustors.
