I've had my machine (Seadoo SPX 1995) since the fall of 1994. NEVER
have I put oil in the gas tank.

BUT I keep hearing conflicting arguments from different people and the
occasional dealer who tells me I should put oil in the gas tank every
now and then? Other dealers tell me its not necessary???

They claim its going to help the engine? but warn it will destroy my
plugs faster. Not that I care - plugs are $3 at Wal-Mart and last me an
entire season.

THE problem is that I've never had a problem. I'd dwelt with several
Bombardier dealers and each has their own take on the matter. SO what
gives? Is my engine a ticking time bomb and I should consider this as a
preventative? or should I just keep doing what I've always done (which
is nothing at all).

And for arugment sake - if I should put oil in - mineral oil?
10w30? Synthetic? what mixture? Doesn't it float to the top of the
gas tank? Or are the properties of oil/gas different than oil/water?

What's the deal - oil in gas? or not?
Thanks,
Trevor.
