Winds were still ultralight, with clear skies. Caught some fun
shoulders in the moonlight before the crowd came out. Managed to get
one really good Backdoor ride on the sponge before retiring the board.
Ended up shooting a few, then had a big scare when my housing leaked!
Turned out the seal wasn't all that good--after a bit of maintenance,
I went out again and shot a few more.

All nice shots... I'm trying to imagine the pucker factor of finding
a housing leak...

It was my new rig (5D), so the pucker factor was especially high.
Thankfully, it wasn't too bad.

NS today -- 1/19/08 Surf was "all-time" on Friday. It dropped substantially today, but there were still some nuggets to be had. I caught a few fun ones and shot some too. Surf was on the decline with winds firming up. Frustratingly cloudy, and kinda ncrowded, but not tooo ba

NS today -- 1/4/08 Bodyboarded a spot that favors a north swell. Surf was bigger than I expected, but with the NNE swing, getting in was pretty easy and felt mellower than it looked. Still some fun ones out there. Got blasted for over 20 minutes in the impact zone trying to

NS today -- 2/16/08 (small) Small surf, but great conditions. Lots of bodyboarders preparing for the upcoming contest at Pipe.

NS today -- 2/3/08 (fun but messy) Surf was smallish and messy, but I had a really fun time at PL/BD and RRs. My new CX bodyboard works great. No Monster or PBC today. More of the same for the week until Thursday.

NS today -- 2/18/08 (Prez Day) Good conditions though smallish. BD was really nice. h
