Well, I did it. I finally got my first PWC. It's a '93 Seadoo SPI
and appears to be in great shape. I can't wait to get out on the
water!
I wanted to check with you all to see if you have any tips for me in
terms of maintenance, known quirks with this PWC, do's and don'ts of
riding, do I have to do anything different for salt water vs. fresh
water (I plan on having it in fresh water most, if not all, of the
time), winterizing, etc.
Thanks in advance for the tips!
Mike

I don't know that particular ski, but I'd tell you to forget about
winterizing it and just start it up and run it once a week during the
off-season. Many problems can be avoided by running your ski
regularly.
Here's a link to a nice site:

Have fun!

That is not entirely true.
If you live in a state that gets into freezing temps, you
want to winterize.
It is the best thing you can do for the ski.
If you run in salt water you want to flush the engine
after every use.

I'm in Houston, Texas. My experience is that letting a ski sit for 4
to 6 months is one of the worst things you can do to it.
Just my opinion.
