OUR DEEPEST CONCERN IS FOR THE FAMILIES AND THE VICTIMS

Who would ever think, not even for a second, that something so traumatic
would take place in a cultured institution such as Virginia Tech campus, in
Blacksburg, Virginia?

I suppose that no one was waiting for something like this to ever happen to
them and much less, in a place such as this, a place of renown, full with
intellectual people, young and matured, from different background, for
example, almost living together, as to knowing each other by looks or by
name, but as a one big family, nonetheless.

Yes, many folks almost living together as one big family, with one common
purpose that united them socially and intellectually, as in many schools of
learning throughout the country, and this is to be always ready to study
and learn; and thus never to be expecting any evil to come against them in
their way, ever.

In truth, they were all there together to learn and advance in knowledge
and of the understanding of things, from all the different fields of
science and studies, that would walk them throughout their lives, and make
them better people, in wherever they may live in the country or in place in
the world as a whole, I think.

However, all the sudden, without almost no one noticing any difficulties or
anything wrong in their surroundings, then somebody like Cho is there to
traumatize their lives and change them dramatically and perhaps, forever
too.

There was Cho totally blind and no one to lend him a hand to help and
direct him away from his darkness. This man Cho acted apparently with
blinding rage in his heart, in his spirit and in the last moments of his
life as worse and as evil possible as human being could be, because there
was no light coming to him from anybody or from any source around him; very
sad to say that.

In fact, the profound darkness of his sins overtook him and drove him to
commit all these great evils that are beyond any human thinking o
expectation, and here, you may not believe this, thinks may have gotten
worse for Cho because of the presence of the darkness or blindness of
others around him.

Yes, Cho was blinded powerfully by the power of his sins, and with the
negligence and blindness of his peers, as well; and thus, his troubles
increased to the point of blowing things up to the point of no return, in
his mind, in his heart, in his soul, for the dismay of many, including me
today too.

Well, I say me too, because I felt hurt when I learned of the development
of the violent incident. And all of this evil took place in one place and
with many innocent people, because of the blinding power of darkness: the
darkness of not knowing God and of his beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ
in the heart of men.

And so, how many sins Cho may have committed in his life to drive him to
such a powerful darkness in his heart and even to the last moments of his
life on earth?

I certainly do not know the answer to that question, perhaps some does in
the midst of us. And I do not think that Cho knew himself the answer to
this question of the overwhelming power of his sins and the deep darkness
of his life that would finally destroy him and, in the same way, the lives
of many others, as well.

However, if someone had care for a moment to speak to Cho about the
everlasting power of the name of his Savior, then the darkness of his sins
would have fade away and enlightened his heart, his soul, his spirit by the
everlasting power of the "Blood of the Lamb". And thus, help Cho to rethink
all the evil thoughts and feelings that were accumulating one on top of the
other in his inside and bothering him as well, as to make his collapse.

That is to say, make Cho collapse as to drive him to make such terrible
decisions and thus make him come face to face to a terrible moment of his
life as to do the unthinkable and destroy people that he probably never
meets or knew in his short life on this earth.

Nonetheless, I shook with fear by the developments of the whole ballistic
scenario, while living in a cultured society. In truth, who would ever
expect anything like this to take place with such terrible violence and
disregard to life? And I baffled also how one man can, all the sudden, in a
moment of rage: take away the lives of so many promising lives for the
country and perhaps for the entire world, as well, as if was nothing.

Because when people go to school, to a place such a State University, for
example, and in this case to Virginia Tech campus, in Blacksburg, Virginia,
it is to study and help improve not only one's life but as well the lives
of many others. Because this is the beauty of learning, no matter where you
may be living in the entire wide world, one can improve oneself and others,
ever so, in the country or abroad all over possible, as well.

And this is also something that moves your heart to rethink the whole
incident all again, as to trying to find why would one man do all this evil
to so many people, without any regard to life whatsoever. And thus I begin
to wonder, for example: in the midst of all these great folks young and
mature, in the campus, there was no one to speak to Cho about his sins and
the need of a Savior in his life, like Our Great Lord of lords and Kings of
kings, Jesus Christ.

I just do not know what to tell you; so many good people all together in
one environment: well learned, well studied, well-intentioned, too, in
life, and any of them spoke to Cho about his Savior and the eternal
salvation of his soul, not even for a moment's time. And if this is the
case, and then why not? Why would not anyone care to help someone, or
anybody that is, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, when he o she can do
it?

Perhaps Cho came to Blacksburg, Virginia, sent by the power of God, so
someone (anybody) would speak to him about the love and the everlasting
salvation of the name of the Lord Jesus Christ living in his heart and in
his eternal soul. (And if you spoke Cho about his Savior and his eternal
salvation, and then, Our Lord God will bless you eternally. However, if you
fail to speak to him or any one else like him, for example, and then do not
miss him o her the next time, so like this you will defeat darkness by the
everlasting power of the blood of Christ, before another incident such as
the one we are talking about takes place again.)

I have prayed for the many victims and their loved ones also, so our Lord
Jesus Christ may bless them powerfully, in moments of pain and grief, as
the ones they may be living today. Because, I do not want to hear of
another violent incident like this ever, and I am sure that many people
everywhere do not want this incident to reoccur again, in their lives, with
another staggering toll of victims of innocent people.

Our Lord Jesus Christ has descended from heaven to meet people like Cho,
because he wants to bless their lives and save them for his coming kingdom
that will never know violence and the pain of sin and death, forever and
ever.

And I know that our Lord Jesus Christ has promised that all sins may be
forgiven to men, because that is the will of our Heavenly Father in the
heavens and all over earth as well. And thus, we pray that our Lord God
would bless his people all over the world, so terrible incidents as the one
that have taken place in Virginia Tech campus, in Blacksburg, Virginia,
would not happen again ever to hurt anyone.

Respectfully yours,

Iván Valarezo
