Epic Endurance - Great Lakes

New to the group - I paddle an 18 ft Epic Endurance and a 12 ft Dagger
Crossover.

Neither boat is a rec boat as they have bulkheads, hatches, and
accomodate skirts.

I also host an annual race and leisure paddle on the Shiawassee River
in Holly, MI

I paddle anything from the Great Lakes/Detroit River to little lakes
and rivers.

Endurance training I've been looking at the Great lake kayak club. They give rating on skill and difficulty. How does one build up their endurance for paddling the great lakes ? Especially when the waters get rough and windy .

Roville Lakes (VIC) Picked up two nice trout on the weekend at Rowville Lakes. Was stocked for the kiddies on school holidays. Fish were biting just on dust with Orange Power Bait. Fish off the bottom with a small running sinker and 30 - 40cm leader and small suicide hook.
