you may have a leaky hose or connection. you can trace out the lines as follows:
1- remove the air filter from the carbs.
2- remove the plate that sits below the air filter. this will give you good
visability to where you need to see.
3- find the oil line coming from the bottom of the oil tank. it starts out
clear, then after about 10 inches it switches to black. make sure the hose clamp
is tight.
4- continue to follow the oil line to the oil pump, which is mounted to the
block, under the carbs, towards the back of the engine. again, make sure the
supply hose is pushed on tight.
5- from the pump, there are 3 more black hoses, one for each carb.
6- trace each hose to each carb and tighten all the clamps.
7- when replacing the carb plate, use lock tight medium (blue)
If everything looks tight with no leaks, then you probably just spilled some oil
when filling the tank and it mixed with water and just looks like more than it
really is.

My SLT 780 had fresh oil in the bottom of the boat a few weeks ago. I took
it in to the shop to have it checked. They checked all the lines and found
the problem was the oil reservoir cap. I apperently over tighten it and
damaged the seal inside the cap. I replaced the cap and it hasn't leaked
since.
